FSC stands for “Forest Stewardship Council” and it’s an organization that works to promote the practice of sustainable forestry worldwide. The Forest Stewardship Council sets standards for forest products, independently certifies that these standards have been met, and bestows labels on the products that do qualify. Furthermore, FSC prioritizes workers’ rights and safety. The organization’s principles and criteria are dedicated to safeguarding the protection of workers by specifically upholding their rights and maintaining or enhancing their social and economic welfare.
Forest Stewardship Council certification gives customers the option to choose forest products such as paper and wood that have been sourced in an environmentally friendly, socially responsible and economically viable manner.
